Enjoying Your Windshield (all natural weight loss)

Have you ever got into your car and noticed your windshield was dirty? I have noticed my spotty windshield for a couple days now. You know the kind- dried dead bug splat (how does it dry within a split second anyway-and it wasnt even a 100 degrees yet), other finer dots and smudges of unknown origin, etc. When I first get in my car,the dirt is more obvious. As I begin driving I quickly forget about the dirt on my windshield-in fact I dont even see it. The next time I may notice it is when I once again sit down in my car- before I begin driving. Isnt it amazing how when Im driving I dont notice my windshield-unless of course a bug decides to fly a suicide mission right into my windshield. Then my attention for a split second goes to my windshield (if I kept my attention on my windshield for too long I may run into someone ahead of me).
I find something similar to people and their bodies. Often people will come in with a complaint-lets say lower back pain. I will do a complete chiropractic evaluation and find a problem (subluxation- a term when our spine is out of proper alignment and interfers with the flow of energy/information between the brain and a part of our body) in a place the person didnt report or even know of. In this example, lets say I found an additional problem in the neck. Because everything is connected it is possible the lower back pain is related to the condition in the neck-a condition the client wouldnt have even know about unless there was an awareness. In this case - a symptom. Symptoms or pain for many people is like an annoying bug buzzing around-distracting us from enjoying life or getting something done. If this pain could talk what would it say?
If my windshield could talk it would probably say clean me. Of course I will push the button and out comes the cleaning solution. Sometimes it cleans better than other times ( I guess it depends on the chemical composition of the dead bug). But what if my windshield could talk? What if I refused to listen and just go about my day? At the very least- my windshield would get dirtier wouldnt it? Lets say I have a high tolerance for dirt and I am not so easily swayed by the mounting blotches and dead bug remains. In fact, instead of driving my car in the daylight (which illuminates or exposes my dirty windshield), I decide to drive my car only at night-or on overcast days.
This is how many of us unknowingly care for our bodies. Its not till we have built up so much stress, distorting our posture and life line (a.k.a. spinal chord), blocking out our bodies many cries for help that finally a symptom is too big or too annoying to ignore. We are definately experts in not listening to our own bodies. We keep our lives jammed with one thing after another; or if we do get a symptom we reach for Big Pharmas special chemical concoction-not considering what message our body maybe trying to communicate to us.
Whats really cool is-and when its not too late- a symptom-or even better- a spinal adjustment refocuses our attention. A refocus to the windshield called our body. So much of our attention is outside our bodies. This is one way and practice of staying healthy. In life we are going to come into contact with bugs-or symptoms. Our windshield-or body is going to require our attention. Create Your Own Custom-Formula Aromatherapy Sprays

Using essential oils is a fantastic and effective method of supporting your family’s health, and one of the most simple, cost-effective means is by making your own natural aroma-mists. The making of aromatherapy sprays and mists is great opportunity to nurture your family: Essential oils are well-known for their positive health benefits, and many scientific studies have demonstrated their effects. Simple aromatic usage has been shown to reduce stress, improve sleep and even sharpen mental acuity. Making essential oil sprays is something that you can do alone or with your older children as a project that is both fun to do, and can open a whole new world of natural health and wellness for your loved ones.
This little project is something you can do alone, or with older children in the family. Getting your loved ones involved will have two important benefits: First, they’re likely to let you know which scents appeal to them the most. Often in aromatherapy, it is the scents we are most fond of that can have the strongest supporting effects for emotional health. Second, they’re also more likely to use and enjoy the oils they’ve had a part in making. This not only will give them greater satisfaction with the sprays, but will likely open their eyes and minds a little bit more to the world of natural health and wellness - certainly an area where getting started young can have life-long benefits.
Just a few easily found items are required - 1 or 2 ounce dark glass bottles with pump spray tops are great containers. The dark color helps preserve the essential oils, and their small size makes them relatively durable, easily handled, and portable. An eye-dropper makes it easy to dispense the oils drop by drop (as the recipes call for ‘drops’ of each essential oil). Plastic ones are most appropriate if children are involved, as the droppers tend to be somewhat delicate. As for the ‘carrier’ of the essential oils, filtered or spring water is all you need; if you’d like to store the blends for longer than a couple of months, use 1/5th Witch Hazel (available at most natural foods stores and online) and 4/5ths water.
Then of course you’ll need some essential oils. There is a huge difference in aromatic quality between oils available today - the finest ones will have very brilliant and alive aromas. They may cost a little more, but you’ll be using only drops at a time, and the difference in the scents will have a significant impact on you and your family’s enjoyment of your sprays. Oils of marginal quality will often make one smile a little and say ‘huh, that smells nice’, whereas exceptional oils usually get ‘WOW’, accompanied by a really big grin. Blends that smell spectacular will certainly get used more, and will likely have greater psychological and emotional therapeutic effects.
While the most of the commonly used essential oils will be very safe in this application, if children will be handling the pure essential oils, safety should be considered. The ‘flowery’ oils like Lavender and Chamomile are quite safe, as are more exotic scents such as Bulgarian Rose and Indian Sandalwood. Citrus oils and the ‘needle’ oils from evergreen trees can be sensitizing; direct application to the skin is not recommended - and if you select very pungent oils, particularly Cinnamon , Clove or Peppermint, application to the skin should be avoided altogether, and generally kept away from the younger ones. For everyone’s safety, just instruct your formulators to not get any oil on them, and to never spray the mists on their bodies, nor near anyone else’s eyes or face. If you have any questions or concerns about a particular oil, there are many resources available on the internet or in books about aromatherapy.
So, now you can create your misters! The basic formula is exceptionally simple: fill your small bottles almost to the top with water or 1:4 Witch Hazel and water mixture, then add the essential oils drop by drop. Once the oils are added, just tighten the cap and shake well until you no longer see the oil and water quickly separating when done. Don’t worry if the oils DO still separate a little, this is natural - just shake gently before each use and you’ll spritz quite enough aroma into your space. For the most simple formulas, just use a four to sixteen drops of any one essential oil per ounce of water. French Lavender, Geranium, Rose, Sandalwood and Chamomile are excellent choices, as are any of the evergreen oils, or the citrus oils. Steer toward smaller amounts of the essential oil if intending to use the formula with children.
A formula that is wonderful for use in an infant or child’s room is as follows: To the water and witch hazel base mix add in 2 drops each of Roman Chamomile and wild Lavender essential oils. Spray a few pumps into the corners of the room as a natural and healthy sleep aid. NEVER spray directly towards the child’s face. Remember to shake again before each use to assist in dispersing the oils. Both Lavender and Chamomile are well-known for their gentle soothing effects, and help many children (and adults) rest more deeply. Another oil much loved by the youngest children is Vanilla. While its scent is very sublime, its calming effects are profound, and it is also a very safe oil. Again, add 2 to 4 drops per ounce of base.
For a more lively, uplifting aromatic, mix together your favorite citrus scents. Essential oils are pressed from all the citrus fruits - you’ll find orange, lemon, lime, tangerine and grapefruit readily available. The aromas mix well together, and it is easy to adjust their ratios to your liking. Mandarin, a member of the tangerine family, has a certain soothing effect unique to this fruit, and again, works particularly well with children.
Finally, the evergreen oils are very popular as room fresheners. These are the essential oils distilled from the needles of Pine, Spruce, Balsam Fir and from Juniper Berries. Like the citrus oils, these all blend well together, and mixing them creates very complementary scents. Juniper Berry is especially lively and bright; Pine is a classic evergreen aroma, and Balsam Fir and Spruce are somewhat richer and more complex. Like the citrus oils too, these are uplifting aromas, though they seem to be uplifting and grounding at the same time.
Other excellent choices are Ylang Ylang (#1 for a more ‘mature’ scent, or ‘complete’ for a sweeter one), Jasmine Sambac, or even Patchouli if you’re feeling a little more bold. Eucalyptus may be particularly effective for musty spaces, and is often used in spas for its invigorating aroma. Whatever oils you choose, you can always mix together very small amounts, counting the drops, until you’re sure you like the blend, then add larger amounts to your spray mixture. You can even create a different blend for every room in your home. And by using pure essential oils, you’ll be creating natural aromatics that have been used for centuries, with positive emotional, physical and spiritual health benefits for you and your family.

Filing for Social Security Disability - Common Errors

Don’t wait too long to file for disability. Economic and physical situations change often, and you could end up not being able to help yourlself.A recent conversation with a middle-aged gentleman brought a dangerous situation to light. Apparently, he took an early retirement at age 50 from his former employer, and with his small retirement pension and his 401K accounts he was able to sustain a modest, comfortable standard of living. Unfortunately, falling stock values have cut his 401K and IRA funds down to about half of what they once were and his income has now fallen well below what he needs to stay afloat.
He said that he would gladly go back to work, but he has since become disabled and can’t earn a living. The problem now is that he is still too young to retire but he hasn’t made enough recent contributions to the Social Security system to be eligible for disability benefits. He would consider filing for SSI but his monthly pension is just above the threshold limit.
This gentleman should have applied for Social Security disability benefits at the time he became disabled. At that time, he still had enough work credits to be eligible for disability benefits. Instead, he sadly assumed that he didn’t need the benefits because he was happy and well off enough with his personal investments and his small retirement pension from his previous employer. It’s a truly sad case.
In the midst of the current economic slowdown, disability claims are on the rise. Not surprisingly, the SSA just released numbers showing that Social Security disability claims were up more than 15% for the first quarter of 2009, and are expected to continue to climb higher still. We need to point out and address those issues that constitute common errors in disability strategy.
1 - Are You Really Disabled?
Often, a person will assume that he or she is disabled simply because their primary care physician has at some point used the word, “disabled” or “disability” when discussing long-term quality of life. Just because a person is now unable to do their regular job is no guarantee that the person will be disabled as far as the Social Security Administration is concerned. Ultimately, a person must be unable to perform any gainful employment, not just the one for which they are the most suited.
2 - Do Your Homework
Request, gather, file and organize your medical records. Make lists of the doctors that you’ve seen, the reasons for which you saw each doctor, and the dates that you were examined or treated. Keep records of medications, citing the reason that you were taking the medicine and amount that you were prescribed. If you have room, keep the old medicine bottles as additional proof that you took the medication. .
3- Don’t Wait Too Long To File for Disability
After a person files for disability, there can be up to a 100-day delay in receiving the approval (or denial) of benefits. There is also a mandatory five-month waiting period after the onset of disability before payments are made. Additionally, as shown in the sad case outlined above, it is always best to file for disability as soon after disability has set in, so that full credit for recent contributions can be made.
4- Get Help
Filling for SSDI isn’t like filing your taxes. There are indeed trick questions and obscure rules that will literally sink a case right from the start. Statistics show that claimants who obtain qualified, experience representation have a much higher chance of success in being approved for benefits.
5- Don’t Give Up
Just because you are denied benefits the first or second time around, doesn’t mean that you’re not truly disabled and that you won’t be awarded benefits. Nearly two-thirds of claims that go through appeals and hearings are ultimately awarded benefits. Unfortunately, however, there is a current backlog that keeps appealed claims in the in the Social Security system for two years or more.
It would be nice if there were an iron-clad set of rules that, if followed, would allow all disability claims to be handled efficiently and accurately. All one can really do is file their claim early, get help, keep good records and don’t give up. If a person at least does that, then the rest is simply up to the judge.

This is available to us now through a costly doctor’s pharmaceutical prescription, and secondly at a reasonable price through a homeopathic HGH oral spray. The third therapy alternative would be Secretogogues and Stacked Amino products. The idea here is to coax your own body, by stimulating the Pituitary Gland, to produce more of it’s own HGH. So the consumer has these three choices: HGH spray, shots, or pills. With all three choices the goal is the same: to raise the measurable IGF-1 level. To discover which protocol is right for you we offer a short discussion below on all three therapies.
It should be noted that the Federal Drug Administration does not allow any nutritional product to claim that it can “cure” any disease. The FDA does approve Pharmaceutical drugs and Homeopathic preparations to claim they can cure a particular disease and the testing to achieve this status is quite rigorous as we all know. A doctor is permitted to prescribe Human Growth Hormone to a patient for anti-aging even though it’s only approved by the FDA as a cure for dwarfism. The Pharmaceutical manufacturer is not permitted to suggest it’s use as an anti-aging therapy, only as a treatment for dwarfism, and one company ended up paying substantial fines and penalties for doing just that. The large majority of Homeopathic remedies do, with FDA approval, claim to cure various ailments. Homeopathic HGH is one of only a handful of preparations that claims to “cure” nothing. 21st Century HGH is manufactured at an FDA monitored and approved laboratory. The curious difference between pharmaceutical HGH and homeopathic HGH is that even though the former injects huge amounts of the actual hormone, compared to only a miniscule amount in the homeopathic preparation, the rejuvenation levels are remarkably similar!
Growth Hormone Pills
Being very conservative the idea of stimulating my own body’s production of HGH through nutritional supplements sounded the most “natural” to me. However, the authoritative Physician’s Desk Reference Manual rates different forms of absorption by the body and yields eye-opening information. It says that when you swallow a pill, less than 10% of the nutrient actually gets into the blood stream. The other 90% is processed by the gastrointestinal tract as waste. Oral absorption through the mucosa (the lining of the mouth) is the preferred choice of medical experts because the body absorbs 90% of the nutrient into the bloodstream. That’s a huge difference. What was not a big difference to us, but was still very interesting, was that oral absorption (90%) was higher than intra-muscular injection (80%).
So, piling a bunch of substances into my body in the form of stacked amino acids and secretagogues, most of which would actually pass through me, just to coax my Pituitary Gland into a little bit of action didn’t seem like a plan to me. Also, after a few months the Pituitary gland says, “no mas,” and refuses to get stimulated into action no matter what the supplemental dosage. Additionally, I was scared away by reports that taking stacked amino “growth hormone pills” can raise cortisol levels in your body, which is extremely unhealthy. So the choice then came down to actually putting the HGH hormone into my body by way of shots or via oral sprays.
Human Growth Hormone Shots
Almost all the Hgh sites will tell you that the cost for Hgh shots ranges between $10,000 and $20,000 per year. It doesn’t. You can easily find it available for around $3,000 per year and even lower if you go through Mexican pharmaceuticals. Needles today are very safe and generally painless. But sticking myself twice a day, twenty days per month, didn’t seem like a routine a healthy person should be doing, no matter how quick and easy it is. Call me squeamish if you like, I don’t care. This might suit some people, and if it does, you can consider going for it. Not me. Those taking Hgh injections should be aware that a few problems have been reported with “high” or “over” dosages, so anyone using this protocol would be wise to be clinically monitored on a regular basis by a physician.
HGH Spray
So the HGH spray option was the one I chose, especially considering the fact that I didn’t know if the product would deliver what retailers were claiming. It seemed to be the most benign, risk free, gentle therapy that produced excellent results, and was reasonably priced between $500 and $1250 per year. The amounts of herbal and nutritional contents listed on a product label can be most misleading. What’s important is not the nutritional content listed on the label, but rather how much of that nutrient is actually absorbed into the cells of the body. Sprays provide excellent absorption when micro-sized beads or droplets of a nutrient are taken into the body through the tissue lining of the mouth or nose. Blood capillaries are extremely close to the surface in these areas and readily absorb Hgh into the bloodstream. The flow of absorbed nutrients from this area of the mouth is to the Carotid Artery, then to the brain, and then on to the heart within 22 to 30 seconds. Within minutes, it is totally dispersed throughout the body.
As far as which spray is the best, it’s my belief that if and when independent clinical trials are made of all the spray products they will all basically be close in effectiveness. They all contain the same amounts of Somotrophin. Some add a little bit of this, some add a little bit of that. I chose the one I thought was most homeopathically prepared because I knew more care would have been taken in its manufacturing and it would probably be more gentle on my system. But honestly, when you’re shopping around for a product that you don’t even know is actually going to work for you, how do you know which one to buy? Ultimately, it probably doesn’t really matter that much! But I do hope you buy mine. Now how’s that for a sales pitch?
